Dirk and Terry's Cooking Classes

For the So-fish-ticated Gourmet

and all other piscivorous people

Our goal is to promote the health and taste benefits of cooking fish and seafood at home. Fish is easy and we want to prove it to you!

Want to know how to grill, saute or bake? Want to know how to roll sushi? Want to know how to make cevice or tartare? Have a question on how to cook a certain fish? Need an quick and easy dinner party dish?

If you answered YES to at least one of these questions, then give the pros at Dirk's Fish a call and we will guide you.

Dirk and Terry Fucik are a husband and wife team that use

their shared expertise to teach the classes.

We are both self made chefs who both cook and experiment with lots of different dishes and ingredients(Terry is an awesome cook and culinary genius). We try to focus on easy to prepare and tasty dishes using only the very best ingredients. All in a friendly and casual atmosphere with small classes. Fish and seafood is what we do best with various ethnic flairs thrown in, especially Cuban/Hispanic.

Fish is the original fast food and we specialize in showing you why!

Our classes are B.Y.O.B.

We encourage you to bring a bottle of you favorite wine,

a friend, a date, your mate and make a night of it!

You will walk away full of good food, good company and all the recipes we demonstrate that evening.

Our classes are held at the shop after hours.

In this hands on class, Dirk will talk about sushi and guide you thru the techniques of making five maki rolls and two nigiri.

Start with a bowl of our miso soup and fresh ginger tuna salad.

Bring a bottle of wine, a friend and your appetite.

You will have to eat what you roll and roll what you eat!

Class is from 7:30 to 9:30

We are always looking for fun new ideas.

 

 

*Cancellation Policy*

All reservations need to be held by a  credit card deposit.

We provide an ample tasting of all our recipes.

In order to do this, we need an accurate count of all students.

2 day cancellation notice is required.

If you haven't canceled within two days of the class that you've scheduled,

your credit card will be charged for the full price of the class.

No exceptions!

If you can't attend, send one of your friends, they will love it!

 

Private group classes require a $100.00 non refundable deposit.

These classes have a one week cancellation policy.

We need to know at least 7 days prior to canceling or changing these events.

Minimum of 10 people needed for a class. If we have less than 10 we will reschedule.

We were having a great meal at an Indian restaruant the other day and were inspired to come up with these new recipes. Terry has come up with some more winners here! We think you will like these simple but flavorful recipes and their tasty results.

Tandoor shrimp with herb couscous

 

Grilled curried kampachi with grilled naan and melted kasseri cheese served with a spicy arugula salad
